The New Defence Sports Club, Horley - Directions to the club and information on how to find us

The New Defence Sports Club is situated to the West of Horley town centre. We are just two miles away from Gatwick Airport and easily accessible via road or rail (or air if you are looking for a superb tour venue).

Our full address is The New Defence Sports Club, Court Lodge Road, Horley, Surrey, RH6 8RA.

Please be aware that if you are using our postcode in some satelite navigation systems, you will be directed to some residential garages just around the corner!!! Court Lodge Road is a windy road that takes you through a residential estate. If you are entering from the Horley Row / Lee Street end, we are just up on the right hand side. If you are entering from the opposite end (near the Air Balloon pub) you will have to traverse around the estate until you reach the club. You can't miss the Horley Anderson Sports Centre and the New Defence is just behind that (use the same entrance). We have ample parking at the club and you are entitled to use the Horley Anderson car park as an overflow.

By Road:

From the M23 Juntion 9 (Gatwick Airport): leave the motorway at junction 9 and follow the dual carriageway towards the airport. At the first roundabout (South Terminal) take the second exit and continue along dual carriageway. At the second roundabout (North Terminal), take the 4th exit (signposted A23 Horley / Redhill) and you will join a slip road onto the A23. 200 yards after joining the A23, you will come to another roundabout (Esso garage on left) - take the 2nd exit signposted Hookwood / Reigate. At the next roundabout (Tesco on left) take the 2nd exit and continue to next roundabout. Take the 2nd exit signposted to Reigate and continue down the A217 for 300 yards. Turn right into Mill Lane (Black Horse pub on the corner). Continue along Mill Lane (which becomes Lee Street) and after approx. 1 mile, take the first major turning on your right into Court Lodge Road. The entrance to the New Defence Sports Club is 100 yards down on the right hand side. WELCOME!

From the A23: Follow the A23 to Horley and you will reach a large roundabout with a Shell petrol station on it. If travelling from London / Redhill direction, you will need to go around the roundabout and take the third exit into Horley Row (the Chequers Hotel is on the corner of Horley Row and the A23). Drive along Horley Row for approx. 1 mile. The ninth turning on your left is Court Lodge Road. The entrance to the New Defence Sports Club is 100 yards down on the right hand side. WELCOME!

By Rail:

If travelling by train, Horley BR station is on the main London Victoria to Brighton line. Come out of the ticket office at Horley Station and turn left. Follow the road all the way through the town centre and you will arrive at a cross roads with the Air Balloon pub on the left. Go straight over at the crossroads into Vicarage Lane. Go to the end of Vicarage Lane, turn left into Lee Street. Approximately five roads up on the left is Court Lodge Road and The New Defence is 40 yards up on the right.
